All that being said, we have had a wonderful time designing and printing our letterpress Valentine's cards. It may have even made something of a convert out of me. The bottom line here is I LOVE stationery, and I most especially LOVE greetings cards. So in fact, any internationally acknowledged holiday that encourages the giving of greetings cards, well on reflection, that's probably a good thing in my books.
We've not gone full-schmalz though, no sir. Being able to take a mildly cynical view on proceedings means we've had a right old laugh coming up with some slightly smuttier ideas alongside the cuter ones. Here are the guys that have made it through to our final selection in the shop:
We've whittled down our ideas at various stages, some of them even made it on press before we decided they weren't working for us. I know that seems late in the day, especially if we've already spent money on plates, but you've gotta be honest with yourself about these things. If we don't think it looks amazing, chances are no-one else will either.
